YOUR MISSIONS
Our client is a vegetable processor. Due to the increase in activity, he is looking to add a road transport coordinator to his transport team. The position is located in Sherrington, Quebec. Their work-from-home policy is open and flexible.
Reporting to the Director of Transport, here are the responsibilities of the position:
- Responsible for the operational management of transport partners.
- Determine the optimal route plan and implement it with carriers based on customer requirements.
- Coordinate the movement of raw material products as well as finished products ready for sale.
- Coordinate the movement of machinery and/or dry goods as required.
- Manage the follow-up of shipments and changes that impact the delivery date with customers and/or the various carriers.
- Management of carrier claims according to commercial agreements.
- Management of operational corrective and preventive actions.
- Keep customers' delivery schedules up to date and forward to carrier(s).
- Provide emergency support during out-of-office hours as needed.
- Responsible for service invoice approvals.
- Responsible for the management of customs files for imports and exports.
- Internal/external customer service as needed.
YOUR PROFILE
- Training in transport or any other relevant field
- Experience of three (3) to five (5) in ground transportation. Experience in the food industry or manufacturing sector is an asset
- Bilingualism both orally and in writing
- Demonstrate resourcefulness, organization and autonomy
- Be open to change
