We are looking for Emergency Technicians to join our team. Work is both residential (living rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, exteriors, decks) as well as commercial/industrial (hospitals, schools, restaurants). You'll learn a lot (water remediation, fire damage restoration, drying strategies, carpet cleaning, carpentry, drywalling, painting, controlled demolition) which will be great for your personal career objectives!

What you'll be doing as an Emergency Technician…

  • Set up drying equipment, extract water from structures, monitor the drying process all while ensuring there is adequate site protection.
  • Daily completion of tracking documents, timecards, photos, and other necessary documentation.
  • Assist with the removal of sub-floors, baseboards, casings, cabinets, closets and doors
  • Assist with the removal and installation of knobs, handles, hinges and other fixtures
  • Assist with removal and installation of drywall (measuring, cutting, securing)
  • Occasional painting and carpentry duties
  • Load and unload construction materials to work areas
  • Clean work site area, sorts and dispose of affected materials
  • Pack damaged contents, clean structures, and tidy job site
  • Provide customer service while removing flooring, windows, doors, tile, cabinets, drywall and vanities

Your Qualifications & Experience…

  • A great attitude and willingness to do whatever is needed to get the job done. We have a great team whose talents compliment and assist each other.
  • A valid driver’s license to transport yourself, tools and materials to site is beneficial.
  • Flexible availability. We are a 24/7 emergency services company and all positions will have a component of on-call work on a rotational basis, in addition to your regular hours.
  • Eagerness to learn. We want to show you all aspects of restoration or allow you to teach others if you’ve mastered them.
  • Physical ability to complete the tasks listed above. Heavy lifting, bending, reaching etc. is required on a daily basis.
  • Ability to wear PPE (personal protective equipment) including half-face respirator, Tyvek suit, hardhat and steel toe boots.
  • Superior customer service skills and a positive can-do attitude.
  • A clear criminal record, as it relates to the work we do.

Where…

Kelowna branch with travel throughout the BC Interior. Job sites are mostly indoors.

When…

Typical hours are 8:00am-4:30pm, with occasional overtime required.
