Restaurant Cashier / Kitchen Helper Job at Mountainview Resort & Suites
We are searching for some friendly and professional cashier who also cross utilized to take the kitchen helper position. As the first point of contact, you will greet and assist customers as they enter our restaurant. Delivering outstanding customer service will be your main objective. Additional responsibilities include processing food orders, assists in basic food preparation, cleaning public spaces, and packaging orders, receiving and storing products in the kitchen. The ideal candidate will be friendly, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This position gives you the opportunity to learn about kitchen and restaurant operations and the opportunity to work with and learn more.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome customers and help determine their orders.
- Process customer orders and record them in the restaurant database.
- Relay customers’ orders to the kitchen staff.
- Ensure all orders are delivered to the customers in a timely manner.
- Accept cash and return the correct change.
- Processing payments with debit or credit cards.
- Tally money in the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each work shift.
- Place food orders in the appropriate bags and boxes.
- Respond to customer inquiries, issue receipts, and record customer suggestions.
- Clean and arrange eating, service, and kitchen spaces.
- Help kitchen staff when needed.
- Assist in basic food preparation
- Clean kitchen equipment
- Load and unload dishwasher
- Scrub pots and pans
- Clean food preparation and storage areas
- Receive and store goods
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Seasonal
Contract length: 3-4 months
Part-time hours: 16-40 per week
Salary: $16.00-$17.00 per hour
