Junior Software Developer
We are currently seeking a Junior-level Software Developer to contribute to the development of Service-Link.
As a Software Developer you will collaborate directly with the Support Manager and end users to gain a better understanding of their requirements in order to develop products which help them perform their jobs most effectively.
This exciting and challenging position requires a self-motivated and independent individual who is committed to developing innovative software at Service-Link.
This role welcomes remote candidates on Atlantic Standard Time
Some travel may be required within Canada and United States if you are willing.
What your impact will be:
- Analyze and troubleshoot product stability issues reported by clients
- Provide second line support as and when required by Customer Care team.
- Design the software components with guidance from senior team members/technical architect.
- Provide timely updates on progress of ongoing work.
- Maintain development deadlines and provide accurate estimates
- Utilize programming skills to ensure delivered code meets high standards of quality and reusability
- Communicate with both internal and external clients to ensure changes that meet requirements
- Actively participate in code review and knowledge sharing sessions
- Assist Professional Services/Support staff as required with investigations of technical issues
Qualifications:
- Computer Science or related STEM discipline
- Strong JAVA or other object oriented programming language
- Experience using SQL Server/ORACLE. Windows and Source control GIT/SVN
- Working knowledge in RESTful Web Services
- Excellent communication skills and passionate and eager to learn
