We are looking for a skilled individual for the position of Maintenance Technician. You have a knack for fixing things, you can take equipment apart and put it together again, you find problems and complete repairs on a wide range of equipment and tools – you like to solve puzzles! WORK SCHEDULE

· 8 or 10-hour shift schedule – we can be flexible

· Schedule will include weekends

· Minimum two days off in a row - we can be flexible on the days

WHAT YOU GET TO DO:

· Repair, troubleshoot and follow preventative maintenance schedule to sustain optimal performance of equipment and minimize downtime.

· install, maintain, troubleshoot, overhaul and repair stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment

· Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions

· Perform or assist with repairs and general equipment, facility, building maintenance

· Perform or assist with set up and installation of equipment

· General facility repairs for our manufacturing and office facilities

· Performs routine maintenance on equipment, building systems and property.

o Equipment: inspection, lubrication, adjustment, and servicing.

o Building Systems: working in shop, yard, maintaining vehicles and ancillary equipment

· Maintain plant and office facilities to remove hazards and ensure a safe work environment

· Assist with other departments to facilitate production as well as project work and performs other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU BRING TO US

• Red Seal Millwright Certification or enrollment in Millwright apprentice program

• Strong mechanical / technical abilities and trouble shooting skills

• Experience working with shop tools

• Good communication skills with the ability to work well with others

• Ability to work independently, with effective follow through and completion of duties

• Problem solver and solution oriented

• Sound comprehension of mathematics

• Physically fit with the ability to lift, carry, bend pull and move tools and equipment

• Valid driver’s license to drive to our several plants and offices

• Safety oriented

What else do you need to know:

• We are a food processing manufacturer of local and imported berries and fruits.
• Work is indoor and outdoor in all weather conditions.
• We look for a solid work history, supportive work references and a demonstrated commitment to great attendance.
• Heavy lifting required – up to 57 lbs.
• Forklift experience required.
