Job Description:

As a Nature’s Emporium retail Receiver (Inventory Control), you validate and processes incoming and outgoing products from your retail grocery store. The Receiver is responsible preparing shipments, loading and unloading trucks, operating forklifts and pallet jacks, verifying incoming orders and organizing the incoming stock in the warehouse, inventory counts, and assisting with vendor returns. You are responsible for ensuring that the Company’s purchase orders and inventory records reflect accurately the physical flow of product.

Responsibilities

· Manage the physical and system information for all the incoming and outgoing merchandise of the your store

· Monitor shipping dashboard to schedule efficient delivery windows to minimize delivery wait times

· Update Purchase Order (PO) expected delivery dates (and/or time) when appropriate

· Preparing outgoing shipment as per the schedule.

· Sort shipments and organize items according to deliver to departments within the store

· Inspecting the stocks and process vendor returns for damaged products in a timely manner

· Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements

· Update store perpetual inventory records for product adjustments

· Ensure all invoices provided at time of delivery are signed and submitted to store administrator

· Assists department managers with inventory administration

· Participates in job-related training exercises when appropriate or necessary

· Ensures forklift is in good operating order

· Recording all the stock received using inventory system

· Packing the items in a systematic way.

· Managing cleanliness and tidiness of the warehouse area on a day to day basis.

· Following all the warehouse safety procedures and guidelines.

· Any other tasks as required by the Store Manage

Qualifications

  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to read planograms and set up merchandise and displays accordingly
  • Well-organized, able to multitask but also attentive to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to think quickly and resolve issues
  • Ability to operate forklifts, motor vehicle and similar equipment
  • Must meet the physical demands, including but not limited to: lifting over 10-75lbs, frequently bending, twisting, occasionally kneeling, constant use of hands, using repetitive wrist motion, and ability to work in extreme temperature changes
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently or part of a team
  • Must be able to work in a fast pace environment

This position reports to the Store Manager.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $19.00 per hour
