Position

Reporting to the Academic Faculty Manager, this hybrid, casual position is responsible for data entry and records management, as required by the Faculty of Education. You will support faculty administrators in moving information from working documents into University of Alberta enterprise systems, and vice versa. You will also provide record management support by organizing files and applying standard naming conventions, on an as-needed basis for a variety of Faculty of Education data management projects.

Duties

  • Perform word processing and data entry for the faculty.
  • Maintain files and filing systems.
  • Maintain spreadsheets and/or databases. Run standard reports for area or program. Compile and maintain data. Assemble and format data to create simple reports.
  • Prepare and send emails and other area/program related correspondence.
  • Other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills including strong ability to demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, and diplomacy.
  • Ability to work both independently with minimal guidance, and collaboratively with others.
  • Strong administrative and communication technology skills.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence.
  • A commitment to the University's Indigenous initiatives, and principles of equity, diversity, and inclusivity.
  • A high school diploma (a diploma in business administration preferred).
