Our Summerstown, ON Client, a state of the art manufacturing company in the food packaging industry, are growing and want you to join their team! (Summerstown is a smaller community just 10 minutes outside of Cornwall, ON) They believe in providing the tools to successfully grow with their organization and this is an opportunity to start ground up. They are offering 2 shifts: Monday - Friday from 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM OR Sunday - Thursday from 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM!

You will be assisting the Machine Operators in producing quality products. This is a permanent role based on successfully completing their 3-month probationary period.

Shifts Available & Compensation:

Night Shift: Sunday - Thursday 11:00PM to 7:00AM $19.39/hourly (plus .85 shift premium)

Evening Shift: Monday - Friday 3:00PM to 11:00PM $19.39/hourly (plus .65 shift premium)

What a typical day may look like for you:

• Assist in the production of quality products by ensuring necessary materials are available and the work areas are kept clear.
• Retrieve and move material with the jigger lift truck
• Furnish the rolls necessary for production
• Assist the operators in lifting boxes of finished goods and place on skid
• Remove the waste material from the machines
• Empty garbage cans of the plastic and place in the cardboard skids
• Weigh the cages of waste plastic quarterly
• Handle various tools and material
• Maintain clean premises in the production area and around the machines
• Perform all other jobs or tasks as assigned by the team lead
• Perform roll changes on doubles and radiants.
• Responsible for compliance with all aspects of GMP, food safety and quality initiatives.

What you will require to be successful in this role:

• Minimum 6 months of factory/manufacturing related experience
• Good manual dexterity
• Ability to lift/push/pull heavy items up to 15 lbs (6.8 kgs)
• Excellent organization and record keeping
• Quick on your feet and good decision making ability
• Ability to work in hot conditions in the summer
• Must be compliant with all aspects of GMP, food safety and quality initiatives
• Very noisy environment - PPE is mandatory
• MUST have valid drivers license and vehicle - no transit
