The De Beers Group of Companies has an exciting temporary one-year contract for a motivated and energetic individual to join the Process Plant Team at the Gahcho Kué Mine Site based in the Northwest Territories. Reporting to the Process Plant Supervisor, this position is responsible for feeding ore into the process plant from the ore stockpiles.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to all security policies and report any issues that may harm the people, environment, information, or product. The ideal candidate is one who is committed to safe working practices and strives for zero harm.

Key responsibilities:

• Operating the Kamatsu WA900 loaders supplying ore to the process plant primary crusher;
• Monitoring, inspect equipment and systems to detect equipment malfunctions and ensure systems are operating normally;
• Assist with crushing operations;
• Clean up duties, when required;
• Completing and maintaining plant logs and reports; and
• Maintaining areas and responsibilities according to standard operating procedures and preventative maintenance.

This is a site-based position with two (2) weeks in, two (2) weeks out rotation.

• High school diploma or equivalent life skills;
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in a Mine on front end loaders.
• Experience in similar roles feeding process plants considered an asset;
• Strong communication skills; and
• Proven commitment to Safety, Health and Environmental standards.
