This new employee will receive $1000 upon completion of a 6-month probation with the remaining $1000 being paid out upon one year of employment. Spiritwood/Big River Ambulance is a fast paced, high call volume, rural service that runs 4 full time Crews along with an ALS Rover. With a base located in both the Spiritwood and Big River locations, our combined annual call volume of over 3500 calls provides employees with excellent real field experience. Spiritwood/Big River Ambulance provides Group Benefits and a company RRSP program. Wages are paid in line with HSAS levels 1 through 5 with an additional on call rate of $5/hr. Weekend and Shift premiums, along with accumulated overtime hours, lend to an annual PCP salary range of approximately $75,000 to $95,000. Shifting for full time staff involves a 5 days on/5 days off rotational system comprised of 24-hour coverage during your 5 days worked. Affordable accommodations are provided at each location. About Spiritwood and Big River: Spiritwood is a town located 75 minutes west of Prince Albert and 100 minutes Northwest of Saskatoon. The area lends to many outdoor activities during all seasons including camping, fishing, hunting, quadding, snowmobiling, etc. Resorts such as Chitek Lake, Meeting Lake, and Memorial Lake are all located within 40 minutes of Spiritwood. The Spiritwood location is an ALS service that runs 3 full time crews out of its base 24/7 as well as an ALS Rover. Big River is a town located 80 minutes Northwest of Prince Albert and 75 minutes Southwest of Meadow Lake. The town of Big River itself is located lakefront on Cowan Lake…where you can even fish right off the dock while on call! The Big River location is a BLS service that runs 1 full time crew out of its base 24/7. The specialized experience you acquire from going on remote Northern calls is like no other.
