Conditions of Employment:

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Experience performing administrative and/or clerical duties which may include but are not limited to: reception, answering phones, records management, filing, data entry, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team and working with the public and providing customer service to a diverse clientele.
  • Experience in accounting, record keeping and file management.
  • Strong problem solving as well as decision making skills while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to prepare, edit and format correspondence with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in creating documents in Microsoft Word, spreadsheets in Excel, and using Outlook and Google Earth desktop software.
  • Effective verbal communication skills with the ability to provide information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.

Desired:
  • Experience working with database programs, such as the Crown Land Registry System or similar.
  • Experience in reading/interpreting architectural or engineered plans, translating legal description location and map coordinate interpretation.

Duties:
Under the limited supervision of the Head of Commercial Policy, Planning and Programming (Head of Commercial Operations), the incumbent will provide administrative and clerical assistance to the Cottaging and Commercial Development Section within the Parks Branch, with focused administration on the commercial development program. The Cottaging and Commercial Development program in Manitoba Provincial Parks is the largest of any park jurisdiction in Canada.
