To be considered for this role, you must have the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and have an excellent command of the English language. A good driving record is essential with a Class G license or better. Current driver abstract required. Familiarity with the city of Ottawa and surrounding areas is required along with the ability to read geographical maps. The successful incumbent must be available to work from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with the ability to work regular overtime hours based on business needs.

Major Activities and Responsibilities

· Deliver freight on behalf of Canpar, Loomis, DHL, UPS and other agents

· Use pulse scanner for all required activities on the daily route; all scannable waybills, laser waybills, and shipper’s own bar-coded labels must be scanned

· Delivery of all assigned material in the route area, within the specific requirements of both customer and company

· Pick up of all assigned customer pick-ups within the specific guidelines of the customers and company

· Compile and submit accurate route records on a daily basis

Accountabilities/Results

· Responsible for internal and external customer satisfaction

· Professional representation of company at all times, including the maintenance and presentation of vehicle, uniform, etc.

· On-time pick-up and delivery of customer shipments

· Interact effectively with other members of the customer service and operation teams
