We are currently recruiting for an Operations Supervisor, South Shore/ Valley region of NS
Working out of our office in Dartmouth NS, the Operations Supervisor assists the Operations Manager in overseeing staff, contractors, and our overall operations.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that staff maintains cleaning requirements at a consistent, optimum level of efficiency.
- Ongoing training of staff in the correct procedures of cleaning, according to the company’s policies and procedures, and WHMIS training on hazardous chemicals in the workplace.
- Supervise employees within assigned duties.
- Conduct site inspections.
- Obtain all special requests from clients and ensure that requests are carried out promptly and efficiently.
- Ensure Health and Safety requirements are followed and maintained.
- Coverage for managers for vacations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience supervising staff.
- Previous experience within the cleaning industry desired.
- Understanding of proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment and cleaning chemicals.
- Understanding of health and safety issues.
Other:
- Required to be flexible in adjusting workloads of staff to manage around absenteeism, special projects.
- Must have strong communications skills – ability to communicate in English as well as write simple reports and correspondence and maintain administrative records.
- Successful applicant must have valid driver's license a clean driver's abstract.
- A Criminal Background Check is a requirement for this position.
- Successful candidate will be required to successfully obtain a Federal Government Reliability Level Security Clearance as well as RCMP Level Security Clearance
Compensation:
Salary range of $40,000 to $45,000 per year.
Bonus plan, and company RRSP.
Employee Health Benefits plan is available after 3 months employment.
This position also has a company vehicle that is for business and personal use.
