This position is for an MOA located in British Columbia, Canada.

Evolve Medical (www.evolvemedical.co) is a virtual health clinic focused on helping people with prediabetes and diabetes to better manage their blood sugar. Our mission is to empower people to live healthier and happier lives through technology, behavioural science, and customized lifestyle medicine.

We are a supportive and collaborative Lifestyle Medicine and coaching program for people with diabetes and prediabetes.

The Role:
We are seeking an experienced MOA to join our growing team. The MOA will provide virtual administrative services for our patients and staff who are distributed throughout British Columbia.

Primary Job Duties Include:

  • Book patients (by phone or email) efficiently and accurately
  • Ensure that a patient's overall experience is both exceptional and comfortable
  • Follow up with patients to book future appointments
  • Answer phone warmly and professionally
  • Check voice mails and emails, and address each message appropriately
  • Contact offices, and the parties involved with patient care
  • Schedule patients using Juvonno Software
  • Monitor the schedule and anticipate/perform administrative needs
  • Ensure all patient data is accurately entered into Juvonno Software
  • Process credit card transactions
  • Complete and file documents as required, such as prescriptions and lab requisitions
  • Update administrative documents such as how-tos, checklists, communication guidelines, and patient documents
  • Problem solve issues as they arise
  • Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications:

  • Completion of formal Medical Office Assistant training from a post-secondary education institution
  • At least three years of MOA experience
  • At least one year of experience working with people with prediabetes or diabetes preferred
  • At least one year of experience working with interprofessional teams
  • Self-starter and able to take initiative and demonstrate proactivity
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with electronic health records

This is an independent contractor position.

Salary: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
