Medical Assistant at Thornhill Clinic
We are looking for an administrative person for front desk duties. The successful applicant will work as a medical office assistant in a specialist physician’s office.
Job Description:
- Applicant should be a quick learner
- Must have excellent computer skill
- Able to multi-task
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Duties will include answering phones, scheduling appointments, patient in-take process, communicating with patients and other health care workers on behalf of the physician.
- Scanning documents into an electronic medical record system, and managing incoming and outgoing faxes.
Requirements:
- Must be willing to work on weekends/holidays if necessary.
- Excellent experience with MS Office (Microsoft Word and Excel).
- Working knowledge of medical terminology.
- Proficient in the use of computers and other office equipment
- Medical admin certificate and/or previous experience is an asset.
There is a three-month probationary period. A contract must be signed with the clinic owner before employment starts.
