Position Overview:
Join the Finning Canada family, part of the world’s largest Caterpillar dealer. We are currently seeking Material Supply Assistant - Lead Hand for our busy location in Grande Prairie. The Material Supply Assistant - Lead Hand is responsible for providing daily leadership to the warehouse team; general warehouse duties including picking and packing orders, loading of parts trucks, verifying bill of landings, shipping orders to meet strict deadlines and warehouse racking dismantling and reassembling.

Job Description:

Picking customer and branch parts orders
-
Packing and labeling parts orders for shipment
-
Shipping and Receiving
-
Loading and unloading of the parts trucks

Other general warehouse duties as required
**Shift Work may be required in accordance with the Terms & Conditions of the current Collective Agreement**
Qualifications:
-
Minimum grade 12 education
-
Preferred Journeyperson Warehouse Certification
-
Self motivated, able to work under minimal supervision
-
Previous parts warehousing and/or heavy equipment experience would be considered an asset
-
Capable of providing general guidance and leadership daily to the team
-
Previous leadership, warehouse experience, computer literacy, TDG/WHIMIS certification, forklift training, and experience working with radio frequency and bar-coding technology would be assets

Hold or be willing to achieve crane, forklift and related safety training certifications such as WHIMS and TDG
-
Forklift training, and experience working with radio frequency and bar-coding technology would be an asset

A strong commitment to safety is imperative
