Who we’re looking for

Manager, Cyber Security and Data Privacy

As Manager, Cyber Security and Data Privacy, (MCSD) you’ll be responsible for oversees the effectiveness of the day-to-day operations of WCG Cyber Security/Data Privacy teams and platforms. This role leads the team to design, implement, and execute security and privacy practices ensuring world class safety and security of the data and systems related to technology such as network and cloud defense(s), incident response event management, threat intelligence, vulnerability assessments, security awareness and documentation.

What you’ll do

• Develop project plans and providing clear leadership and direction to the team through sound understanding of strategic objectives, corporate best practice, and project management principles
• Define program/project objectives, scope, performance measures, governance, requirements, and resources in consultation with Executive Sponsors and delivery Stakeholders
• Develop change management, resource, communication plans and stakeholder engagement plans and communications materials for project team members, end-users, stakeholders, and sponsors to ensure impacts, decisions and changes are understood.
• Analyze and assessing business needs and monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) throughout the project, ensuring project common goals, effectively balancing risk, and the assurance of operational goals

What you bring

• Post- secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or other IT related field of study.
• Industry certification such as CISSP, CISM, CISA,CCSP, CASP, CIPP +BTL1 and CySA+ required
• 5+ years of experience working in a Cyber Security /Privacy Office
• 3+ years of people management experience
• Advanced knowledge and experience in project planning, implementation, management principles and methodologies and business analysis
• Strong writing skills to produce business case proposals, reports, executive briefings, and requirements documents.
• Ability to obtain secret level government clearance; please review the Government of Canada website to ensure you meet the eligibility requirements.
