The Opportunity:

The Licensed Practical Nurse role will be serving the community in Hythe at Pearson Place . The LPN is responsible for ensuring top resident care is priority, with a high level of focus in time management.


Full Time, Part Time and Casual lines, we have nights, days, evenings, and weekends available.

  • Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills, deal effectively with difficult or crisis situations
  • Always maintain the highest level of professionalism
  • Knowledge of supportive living services, assessment, and care planning
  • Ensuring that care is provided in accordance with nursing best practices, our Well-Being Strategies, quality improvement guidelines, and regulations
  • Growing Clinical Mentor Care Partner skills to be effective advocates for the Residents in helping them achieve the highest practicable physical, mental, and spiritual well-being possible
  • Performs duties and services required, and Supports the Resident’s lifestyle in accordance with the Resident’s individualized Care Plan as authorized by Homecare
  • Using the available resources, LPNs are responsible for delegating and coordinating care plans based on the HCA/Care Aide scope of practice
  • Provides medication assistance to the Residents, according to current Well-Being Strategies
  • Mentors and delegates nursing tasks to Care Partners as per accepted practice standards and Wellness Strategies
  • Identifies health, safety or maintenance issues, and reports as required
  • Provide impartial support and excellent relationship building skills to nurture, understand, and respect residents, families, visitors, and external Care Partners to ensure the vibrancy of our community
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team
  • Attains and maintains ongoing compliance with appropriate local, provincial, and federal regulatory standards

Foundational knowledge and experience to grow from:

  • Grade 12 Diploma or recognized equivalent (required)
  • Read, write, and speak fluently in English (required)
  • Must be a graduate of a recognized LPN program
  • Registered and in good standing with their related Licensing Body (CLPNA)
  • Valid Certification in First Aid and CPR
