Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, you will be part of the Geology Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

• Give direction/training to all Production Geologists, Geologists in Training (G.I.T) and Geological Technicians to ensure all activities are conducted towards de-risking and maximizing grade recovery;
• Timely and accurate preparation and completion of all planning layouts and construction plans in line with SOP’s and guidelines;
• Review, compilation, and dissemination of all weekly production data for use in daily, weekly and monthly reviews, reports and meetings;
• Active support of all safety initiatives to ensure compliance with the company’s Minesweeper and Zero Harm safety culture;
• Assistance with month-end reporting including GAS report generation, reconciliation, monthly material movement summaries and grade control reporting;
• Create technical reports based on resource definition and production findings;
• Review and develop Underground Geological procedures;
• Responsible for coordination of underground mapping and sampling in collaboration with the Resource Geology group;
• To strive for continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Geology or equivalent;
• Tertiary Geology Qualifications, P.Geo preferred;
• Strong academic and applied background in structural geology;
• 8 or more years of experience in underground gold mining;
• Experience with Leapfrog, Deswik, Fusion, DH Logger and Microsoft Office Suite software;
• Ability to coach, mentor and lead.

Your Work Schedule:

• Schedule: 4/3 schedule (10h per day) from our Macassa Mine located in Kirkland Lake, ON.
