We are seeking enthusiastic, passionate professionals for Engineering/Technical Development Lead positions with extensive experience and focus on development management, hands-on software development, leadership, solution design, digitization, cloud and SDLC (agile and waterfall). Candidate will be required to participate development of enterprise grade applications through a team of onshore and offshore professionals. She/he would also contribute to BMO’s digitization Cloud strategy with focus on innovation and leveraging emerging cloud native services to meet the rapidly evolving needs of our customers. Responsibilities:

Working in a close-knit technical team, the role will:

• Lead design and development of critical technology functions across Sales & Origination, Underwriting, Booking, Portfolio Management and Risk Management technical platforms

• Manage development process

• Design and develop technical solutions impacting the business

• Ability to adapt to and develop on both on-premise and cloud applications

• Hands on technical expertise is expected

Required Core Skills:

• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated development lead experience with focus on designing / configuring secure and scalable architecture patterns and technology solutions

• Evaluates new technologies for fit with the program/system/eco-system and the associated upstream and downstream impacts on process, data, risk (e.g., security).

• Working experience with Angular/ Node JS / Javascript/typescript , J2EE and/or .NET, Python, Oracle and Postgres and expertise in at least one of them

• Hands on with cloud technologies – ideally AWS

• Hands on experience with AI and Data (preferred)

• Ability to work in a structured environment, practicing both Waterfall and Agile development model

• Ability to work with distributed onshore and offshore teams

Other Skills:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• A critical thinker with strong research and analytics skills

• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and an ability to work independently and/or in a team

• Able to work under tight timelines and deliver on complex problems.

• Hands-on with multiple technology with ability to adopt to new tools and technologies
