POSITION TITLE: Junior Automation Technician

REPORTING: Head of Product Development

POSITION SUMMARY: An entry-level technical role working in the engineering department for KOR Rewinder Machinery. The position requires a general knowledge of software, electrical design with some knowledge of mechanical design. The position also engages with customers remotely to provide training/guidance and to troubleshoot issues with rewinder machinery. The technician will also provide a range of diagnostic testing, to verify and achieve the performance of machines as a final stage in the machinery building process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Testing, verifying, and running of machines

· Documenting machine performance

· Re-designing and updating systems software

· Ensuring machine meets with design needs

· Performs machinery wiring following schematics

· Performs pneumatic and hydraulic plumbing to drawing

· Performs mechanical rework as required

· Completes all assembly tasks according to schedule provided by PM

· Levels and aligns machinery and assembles

· Packages and prepares machine for shipment

· Cleans and maintains assembly area and all areas used by assembly team

· Ensures accurate completion of production records

· Arranges and assists in staging parts for assembly

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

Education – College Diploma in Automation and/or Electrical Program

Apprentice Position with 6 months to 1 years’ experience required

· Excellent communication skills

· Proficiency in Spanish and Portuguese is a definite asset

· To succeed in the role, besides the above, the individual must be a self-starter with an eye for detail and excellent interpersonal skills

SPECIAL DEMANDS:

Physical dexterity using hands, working potential long-hours on the shop floor. Travel will be required.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
