Dexter Construction is a large, diversified Construction Company engaged in all major aspects of the heavy civil construction industry within the Atlantic Provinces. We are currently seeking the qualifications and expertise of an Asphalt Plant Journeymen Millwright/ Industrial Mechanic based out of New Brunswick.

The Journeymen Millwright/ Industrial Mechanics supports multiple Asphalt Plant operations across Atlantic Canada. The Journeymen Millwright/Mechanic is directly responsible for overseeing the portable asphalt plants operations maintenance and for ensuring that the production of asphalt consistently meets the quality and quantity specifications of our projects.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience:

5-7 years as a Licensed Industrial Mechanic
Strong understanding of Troubleshoot equipment, & systems, experience with crushers and asphalt plants is an asset.
Diagnose root cause of mechanical malfunction.
Analyze failure of production equipment and take corrective & preventative actions.
Promote, practice, and enforce a safety and healthy work environment.
Report progress on projects and daily issues.
Report inventory parts levels to assure efficient operations.

Please Note: Positions are for New Brunswick, (Moncton, Saint John or Fredericton) locations, but travel may be required though out the Maritimes.
