         Job Summary
        
 
        
         The Faculty of Engineering at Dalhousie University provides an opportunity to be part of an excellent engineering school in a leading, research-intensive Canadian University. Reporting to the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, the International Student Recruitment & Support Manager is the lead for recruitment, retention and support of international undergraduate students within the Faculty.
        
 
       
         Key Responsibilities
        
 
        - In alignment with the Registrar’s Office, develop and execute the Faculty’s recruitment strategy for international undergraduate students.
 - Regularly report on recruitment activities and results to the Dean and other key stakeholders.
 - In collaboration with Faculty communications, the Dean, and other Faculty stakeholders, develop and revise recruitment strategies and tactics for individual markets and programs.
 - Develop and oversee the execution of a strategy to support the transition of students during their first academic terms including onboarding, mentorship and connections to the various supports for international students.
 - Act as the point of contact for international students, listening to students needs and concerns and advocating for support programming where necessary.
 - Develop and execute events related to international student support.
 
         Note
        
 
        
          The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.

         Required Qualifications
        
 
        - Undergraduate degree with three to five years’ experience preferably in a business development role or with post-secondary environment experience (or equivalent combination of training and experience).
 - The ability to work independently and as a member of the Dean’s Executive Committee.
 - Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills, high level critical and strategic thinking with a combination of public speaking, event planning, marketing and event/project management skills.
 - Working knowledge or better with computer applications particularly with MS Office, email, and social media.
 
         Assets
        
 
        - Direct knowledge of high school programs in Canada, direct knowledge of Undergraduate Engineering programs in Canada and Internationally.
 - Undergraduate degree in Engineering is not required but would be considered an asset.
