Beyond the Spectrum is looking for a passionate, self-motivated, driven, reliable and enthusiastic Instructor Therapist(s) to provide full time /part-time ABA/IBI therapy to our clients in-home, in school ,in childcare and in community settings. Our qualified professionals provide evidence-based services that are synchronized, family-focused, compassionate to the needs, strengths, goals and unparalleled potential of each individual. Our Holistic approach is based upon the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) used to decrease problematic behaviours, increase communication, increase social interactions, teach self-regulation and functional living skills. All of our programs are supervised by a BCBA. We are accepting OAP/ childhood budget /and privately funded clients across the GTA.

Position: Instructor Therapist

Position Summary:

  • The Instructor Therapist will provide ABA services in a 1:1, group, classroom, community and in-home setting for individuals with ASD duel diagnosis, ADHD and developmental delays for both private and OAP funded clients.

Location:

  • Toronto Home and School-based across GTA: Toronto, Durham , Peel, North York , York Region, Etobicoke& Simcoe County

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor clients' progress and effectiveness of individualized programs * Implement ABA/IBI programs * Record and graph treatment data
  • Accurately and fluently record data throughout sessions daily
  • Take ABC data daily
  • Ability to grow within the company
  • Comfortable with on-going weekly supervision
  • Aid in facilitating assessments with supervisor
  • Communicate with parents and outside professionals
  • Write progress notes daily via email to team
  • Flag exceptional circumstances to Senior Therapist and Clinical Supervisor in regards to changes to program and behaviours
  • Work collaboratively with team members in the treatment planning process
  • Abilty to lift over 50 pounds
  • Ability to work evening and weekend hours with multiple clients with diverse needs
  • Material preparation
  • Therapists are required to take coverage shifts when requested to do so
  • Ability to work with individuals who require substantial behavioral intervention and support
  • Required to attend weekly team meetings for each family
  • Attend Beyond the Spectrum team meetings and staff training workshops
  • Have a flexible and enthusiastic attitude
  • Willingness and desire to learn

BTS Opportunities:

Part-time and Full-time Independent Contractor

40 + hours

GTA , Toronto, North York, East York , Scarborough Etobicoke, York region and, Mississauga.

Hours range from:

Monday - Friday 8:00-8:00pm

Saturdays 9-6pm

Ongoing Weekly Supervision by Senior Therapist and Clinical Supervisor. Monthly supervision by BCBA .Materials and Supplies provided.

Valid:

1.Drivers license

2.Valid Police check

3.First Aid and CPR

4. CPI certification ( considered an asset)

Education:

RBT ( considered an asset)

BA ( or equivalent ) and or required license/certification

specialization in Applied Behaviour Analysis (considered an asset)

This position requires a valid drivers licence or access to TTC and subway transportation

Compensation : Competitive, based on years of experience in the field

Qualifications and Skills

Qualifications:

  • Must have a College or Bachelor of Arts related to Autism Behavioral Science or Psychology or pursuing such.
  • Experience (2 years) providing ABA/ IBI services to children with autism
  • Experience working with special needs children
  • Knowledge of childhood development and Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Must be a team player
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal skills, Oral and written communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle, TTC or Subway
  • Willing to start during COVID-19 as an essential service worker

Job Types: Full-time and part-time, Contract

Compensation commensurate with experience

Covid -19 procedures must be followed

Client and staff screenings, temperature checks daily, strict covid-19 measures in effect throughout BTS (enhanced cleaning documentation ).
