AMMONIA REFRIGERATION JOURNEYMEN MECHANIC

Canada West Refrigeration Ltd. is a small, privately owned company that specializes in Ammonia compression and refrigeration systems for a variety of industries. We are customer advocates who pride ourselves on best-in-class service in an ethical and cost-effective manner. We are based in Airdrie, AB and service Southern Alberta and British Columbia.

We are currently seeking Journeyperson Industrial Ammonia Refrigeration Mechanics to join our exceptional team. We offer a positive work environment, on the job training, opportunity for advancement and a benefits package among other benefits.

Job Duties:

• Provide best in class customer service including ethical, professional, friendly, and competent service
• Perform start-ups, overhauls, inspections, and preventative maintenance of refrigeration and compression systems
• Troubleshoot and correct system problems
• Construction and reconfiguration of refrigeration and compression systems
• Train customers and assist in the operation and basic maintenance of their systems
• Work safely, observing all safety rules and regulations as per Canada West Refrigeration Ltd.’s safety manual.
• Complete thorough and accurate electronic reports on a daily basis
• Other duties that may arise during the function of the job

Requirements:

• Clean Driver's abstract required
• Ability to work independently and on-call
• Industrial Refrigeration experience and ammonia experience is preferred
• Registered apprentice (Refrigeration) or Journeyman
• Strong customer service and relationship building
• Strong work ethic and ability to work long hours
