Imam at Masjid Al-Iman Victoria Job at BCMA Victoria Branch
The BC Muslim Association (BCMA) is seeking to hire an Imam for Victoria Masjid, Victoria B.C. This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week based on flex schedule as per the local requirements.
Salary & Benefits: Compensation commensurate with experience.

Must be eligible to work in Canada.
Duties include but not limited to
Lead congregational prayers
Conduct Youth and Children Islamic Educational Programs and Activities
Organize and deliver regular educational programs e.g. lectures, study circles (Halaqas), workshops...etc.
Provide Counselling services
Initiate and conduct Da’wah activities
Engage in Community Outreach Programs
Establish open dialogue and communication with members to provide religious guidance.
Perform marriage (Nikah) ceremonies;
Job Requirements
A Bachelor degree or higher in Islamic Studies from an accredited Islamic institution
At least 5 years or more of experience as an Imam or teacher
A Sunni Muslim, well versed in the Quran and Sunnah and Islamic Jurisprudence
Well-versed in Quran sciences and recitation rules;
Preferably a Hafizul-Quran;
Ability to interact with and guide youth and all other members of the community;
Computer literacy
Fluency in English and Arabic
Ability to lead a culturally diverse Muslim community in the Canadian context
Eligible to work in Canada.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
