Weaver Group currently has an opening for a: Hydrovac Swamper for civil projects in Acheson, AB
General Responsibilities:
- Assist and take direction from Hydrovac Operator
- Maintain equipment as per WGL and Manufacturers guidelines
- Follow WGL safety program including Safe Work Practices and Procedures
Qualifications:
- Candidates who demonstrate a great attitude, willingness to learn, and a solid work ethic (but do not have prior experience as a swamper), will be considered
- Must have a valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable vehicle (the WGL shop is 15 minutes away from Grande Prairie and is not accessible by public transportation)
- Current H2S Alive (Energy Safety Canada issued)
- Current BC/AB Standard First Aid, Level C with AED
- Current CSO (Common Safety Orientation - Energy Safety Canada issued)
- Current Ground Disturbance (endorsed by the BC/AB Common Ground Alliance)
- For the purpose of personal and work site safety, candidate must be able to fluently speak, read, write and comprehend the English language
- Able to take direction and follow instruction
- Willing to perform physically demanding work in all climates
- Must be a resident of the Grande Prairie area
