Job Description

- Manage your own crew of 3 working in the following fields;

o Home Deliveries of Household Furniture

o Office Moving

o Specialized Logistics

- Drive a 5-ton commercial truck to deliver and or pick up freights to assigned stops within the Ottawa and surrounding areas

- Deliver freights in good condition and within scheduled times

- Use technology to scan documents and freights

- Load and unload freight in proper sequence with the use of a dolley and or pallet truck.

- Complete any necessary paperwork accurately

- Perform all safety checks, including pre-trip and post-trip inspection

- Report on all safety checks, including pre-trip and post-trip inspection

- Report on all safety hazards and accidents

- Provide excellent customer service and build strong client relationships

- Adhere to safety and compliance regulations

Job Requirements

- Own 5-ton commercial truck(s) with a tailgate or lease options will be provided (Multi-truck brokers are welcome)

- Ability to load and unload freight weighing up to 70lbs with the use of freight handling equipment

- Minimum valid G Class driver’s license required

- Must have a minimum 3 years of experience years commercial delivery driving experience

- Clean Driver’s Abstract

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Positive and enthusiastic attitude with a commitment to provide excellent service

Job Compensation & Benefit

- Competitive Pay Package – ability to earn between $75000 - $150000 per year
