Position Title: Summer Student – Help Desk Technician

Reports To: Associate Director, Information Systems & Solutions

Status: Full Time Temporary (12-week contract)

Work Location: Trillium Health Partners Foundation office at 89 The Queensway West, Mississauga, and some flexibility to work remotely.

THE ROLE

The help desk technician (Summer Student) is a full-time temporary position reporting to the sAssociate Director, information systems & solutions. The help desk technician will:


  • Support staff with foundation it equipment repairs, applications, maintenance and upgrades in collaboration with the hospital’s is team and vendors.
  • Training other staff members on troubleshooting and diagnosing problems.
  • Writing, editing, and revising training manuals for new and updated software and hardware.
  • providing technical assistance for questions and problems.
  • other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS


  • Highly computer literate with capability in email, ms office and related business and communication tools.
  • Fantastic organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to accurately follow instructions and pay attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a highly confidential environment and use discretion when dealing with sensitive employee matters
  • Strong interpersonal skills, effective at building relationships and able to work well with colleagues and key foundation and hospital stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a busy environment managing multiple projects, shifting priorities, and tight deadlines.


CANADA SUMMER JOBS PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Placement is full time only (35 hours per week) for a maximum of 12 weeks
  • Placement must occur between April 25, 2023 and September 2, 2023
  • Applicants are aged 15-30 years
