Location:

Cranbrook, Prince George, Fort St John, Kimberley, Vancouver or Fort Nelson, Smithers, BC

Job Highlights:

• This position is field-based, and travel is to be expected.
• Geoterra pays for all travel and accommodations, including per-diem, while away from home.
• Typical shifts are 10 days on and 4 days off.
• Excellent wages are available for the right candidates.
• 2 hours of overtime each field day.

Accountabilities:

• Assisting with timber cruising and timber investigations;
• Assist in cutblock, road layout and assessments
• Assist with the riparian and ecosystem assessments;
• Data collection and entry;
• Additional adhoc assistance requirements needed by the supervisor;

Preferred Qualifications:

• Positive attitude, highly organized, with a proven ability to learn new tasks.
• Good physical condition.
• Work in a team environment, both in the field and office.
• Valid BC driver’s license.

Additional Assets:

• 1-2 years experience as a timber cruiser in the British Columbia interior.
• Working knowledge of the BC Timber Cruising Manual
• Registered member of the ABCFP as an RPF, RFT, ATE, ATC.
• Experience using CruiseMate application.
• Level 1 first aid.
