Full Time Fuel Truck Driver - DAY SHIFT Job at Boucher & Jones Fuels

We are currently hiring for a Full Time Fuel Truck Driver

The Fuel Truck Driver will be responsible for the daily operations of the business which will include delivering Fuel to customers in the Kitchener-Waterloo, Guelph and Stratford area as well as performing other duties required by company functions and as directed.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Safely operate company vehicles
  • Bulk Fuel Deliveries
  • Pick-up and deliver products as scheduled and complete delivery/meter tickets as required
  • Assist in keeping the vehicle in good working condition
  • Load and unload products as needed
  • Train and possible coverage of Bulk Lube Deliveries
  • Train and possible coverage of Packaged Lube Deliveries
  • Train and possible coverage of DEF truck route when regular driver is on vacation or absent
  • Warehouse & yard cleaning
  • Keep truck and pumps in clean and orderly condition
  • Help to keep a clean and orderly station
  • Complete and turn in all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift. Paperwork may include, but not limited to, declining balance sheet, metered tickets, circle check, bills of lading, time sheet, etc.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours including some overtime during busy seasons, be available for on call shifts and cover vacations as needed
  • May be asked to cover afternoon shift (2PM-12AM) when needed or early morning (3AM), these shifts will come with a premium
  • Be professional and courteous with customers
  • Must be able to work well with others and perform a variety of different duties
  • Other duties as assigned by Management

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid AZ or DZ Driver’s License
  • Highschool Diploma/GED
  • Clean driver’s abstract
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50-75 lbs. routinely and carry fuel hoses across rough, uneven terrain
  • Knowledge on computers and telephone
  • Positive attitude
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • All applicants will be required to pass a drug/alcohol test, criminal background check and 50lb fitness test

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The selected candidate will regularly work in a field setting including but not limited to construction sites, municipal and government buildings, rural locations, etc.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms. Exposure to noise, dust, odours, fumes and oils may occur. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk and listed. Heavy lifting is also an essential requirement of this position.
