Full time Delivery Driver (Packages) Job at Ontario Jobs
We are now hiring Delivery Drivers for a logistics company all across Stoney Creek, ON.
The Driver will be responsible for the delivery of products over established routes. Responsibilities will include the correct loading of the vehicle, recording of delivery information, and ensuring overall vehicle and product safety. The Delivery Driver will be expected to operate the delivery vehicle in a safe manner at all times, obeying all rules of the road.
Job Duties
- Operate and drive company cargo vans and deliver various products
- Perform pre-trip inspection of vehicle
- Assist other drivers in loading and unloading of vehicle
- Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
- Record information on deliveries, vehicle mileage, fuel costs and any problems encountered
- Communicate effectively with the public, customers, and co-workers both verbally and in written form
- Ensure that material is properly protected from the outdoor elements
- Deliver to product to customers in a courteous and timely manner
Requirements
- Valid G Class Driver’s License – minimum 6 months old
- 23 years and old
- 1-year courier delivery driver and cargo van experience
- Clean Driver’s abstract
- Clear Criminal Background Check
- Flexible to work various days/hours
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work with little supervision; must be self-directed
- Safety Shoes
- Safety Vest
- Overtime as required
- Weekend flexibility required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
