Front-Load/Roll Off Truck Driver

DIVISON: General Waste Management

LOCATION: Whitehorse, Yukon

POSITION STATUS: Permanent, Full-Time

SUPERVISOR: General Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting directly to the General Manager, this position will assist with a variety of duties including but not limited to the delivery, pickup & servicing of waste bins using a front-load waste removal truck, light shop and vehicle maintenance and other related duties.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Loading & unloading of waste equipment/goods
• Delivery, removal & maintenance of waste bins and other equipment
• Ability to safely operate a front load waste removal truck
• Operation of fork lift & bobcat

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:

• Experience operating waste trucks
• Good customer service skills
• Strong oral and written skills
• Experience working with/around large equipment
• Must work well in a team environment
• Ability to work independently with instructions
• Valid Class 3 or 1 license with clean drivers abstract (Required)
• 2 years professional truck driving experience (preferred)
• Willing to train the right individual
• First Aid Certificate considered an asset

Salary: $28.00-$30.00 per hour
