European Bakery - Seara Bakery & Pastry Vaughan, ON
Join our team at a European bakery/cafe in Woodbridge! We have a great team and client base that builds a sense of community in our neighborhood and we’re looking for someone to contribute to the positive dynamic of our business. Our small business is primarily take-out based, serving bread, baked goods, coffee and pastries with about 10 tables in house for our customers who choose to dine-in.
Experience not required - training can be provided, we are prioritizing finding the right fit for our community and team! This is a great role for anyone looking to work somewhere positive and flexible, or for those who are looking to improve their pastry preparation and baked goods skills. There are opportunities to assist with pastry prep for those interested.
Requirements:
- Positive attitude and strong customer service skills
- Willingness to support food preparation (sandwich making, preparing food trays, platters, and other service needs as required)
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to speak English
- Ability to accommodate availability to rotating schedule
- Ability to work legally in Canada
Nice to have:
- Barista/server experience
- Pastry and/or Baking experiences
- Deli experience
- Cooking experience
- Bussing experience
- Ability to speak Portuguese or Italian
Duties include:
- Serving customers ready-made baked goods and pastries
- Preparing customer dishes and beverages (coffee, espresso, etc.)
- Cashing out customer orders
- Providing table service
- Cleaning up tables
- Maintaining cleanliness of food preparation areas, sanitizing dishes, surfaces, etc.
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 25 per week
Salary: From $15.50 per hour
