Career Opportunity – Food and Beverage Assistant

General Purpose

The Food & Beverage Assistant is responsible for the receiving and distribution of food & beverage product orders to our clubhouse and on course facilities. Has knowledge of and can provide information on other services and products provided by Crowsnest Pass Golf Club.

Essential Duties

• Receives food and beverage deliveries and distributes to required storage facilities or outlets following the established inventory/stocking procedures
• Ensures the use of an inventory log book, waste documents and requisition forms when applicable
• Safe operation of club vehicle while on course during golf play
• Training and protocols to be provided to safely navigate wildlife encounters while on course
• Performs a mid day garbage check of on course receptacles and empties and disposes of as needed
• Maintains a clean work vehicle daily, performing a deep clean at the end of each shift
• Assists in maintaining cleanliness of storage areas, kitchen door access and loading dock
• Attention to detail and commitment to high work standard
• Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications & REQUIREMENTS

• EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Frequently stands, walks, talks, hears, tastes, smells, uses hands, reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally stoops, kneels, crouches or crawls. Frequently lifts weights up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts weights up to 50 pounds. Bending and/or twisting in confined spaces while lifting weights up to 50 pounds.
• ENVIRONMENT/NOISE: Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions, in extreme heat, in cooler temperatures, and in areas near moving mechanical parts. Noise level is moderate.
• CERTIFICATES/LICENSES: Valid Driver’s License, Food Safety, Sanitation Training, and Pro Serve Certification.
• JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY PREFERENCES:
• Ability to read and speak English is required in order to perform the duties of the job
• Meets provincial age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
• Able to work efficiently and unsupervised

· Full-time, Part-time Seasonal position

· Salary: $17 - $18 Hourly
