Facilities & Emissions Technologist (18 month contract)

Rife Resources Ltd. has an immediate opening for a Facilities & Emissions Technologist located in our Calgary office. This position is an 18 month contract, for maternity leave coverage purposes.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for various federal, provincial and voluntary requirements regarding emission management (SK OBPS, TIER, NPRI, LDAR, Carbon Offsets, etc.)
  • Proactively manage the deliverables from external emissions service providers and complete necessary regulatory reporting
  • Evaluate emission reduction technologies for field implementation
  • Support corporate monthly emission reporting and forecasting
  • Support the facilities & production operations team in the identification, planning and execution of emission reduction, optimization and MOC projects
  • Liaise and build strong relationships with the various stakeholder groups including production, asset development, land and safety
  • Provide reporting on key performance indicators including project status, cost projections and schedule
  • Ensure all reporting data is current and complete and corporate policies & expectations are met
  • Identify process improvement opportunities

Skills

  • Proven project management and technical skills associated with emission and project management of oil and gas pipelines and facilities in Western Canada
  • Credible experience in emission computation as well as prioritizing, managing, and executing a variety of projects
  • Strong technical background, interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability
  • Demonstrated commitment to Safety and the Environment

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Engineering (CET or P.Tech.) with current APEGA and/or APEGS registration
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in oil and gas upstream facilities and emissions, preference for conventional heavy oil
  • Strong working knowledge of regulatory standards and industry best practices in Alberta and Saskatchewan

Additional Requirements/Information:

Able to travel to operating assets in Saskatchewan and Alberta, typically Lloydminster and must be legally entitled to work in Canada at the time of application.
