This junior entry level sales manager position is ideal for those who desire to continue their career in hotels. Candidates with hotel sales or catering coordinator experience or front office/banquet experience will be considered.

Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, you will be responsible to proactively identify, qualify, and solicit new small meeting business (less than 75 room nights) as well as social events for the Delta Hotels by Marriott Toronto Airport & Conference Centre. This position includes the ability to detail client food, beverage and rooms requirements and communicate full expectations within the hotel.

A minimum of 2 - 3 years hotel catering service or hotel sales experience.

Minimum High School degree, preference given with a degree in Hospitality.

A motivated, self-starter who takes initiative while making independent decisions.

Strong verbal & oral communication skills.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet and CI/TY (sales and catering booking platform is essential).

Knowledge of Marriott systems an asset

You are detail oriented and have an understanding of Hotel / Catering Operations. Efficiently manage guest room and large meeting space inventory. Proven ability to create proposals, contracts and BEO’s in an accurate and time sensitive manner.

Must be willing to work on weekends or evenings on occasion.
