Event Set up Job at Niverville Heritage Centre
POSITION SUMMARY
Set-up Personnel are responsible for working on all aspects of preparing for special events and meetings by appropriately arranging furniture, staging, tables, etc.
Primary Tasks:
- Work to ensure event/room set-ups are completed accurately, safely and efficiently.
- Inspect the facility and report any maintenance or housekeeping concerns.
- Post directional signs to the Event locations as needed and assigned by Events Team Leader.
- Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings, workshops and training sessions.
- Represent values of the Niverville Heritage Centre to clients, residents, clients, customers and visitors.
- Other duties as assigned.
Essential Physical Requirements:
- Walks and stands during entire shift.
- Continuously reach, bend, lift, carry and stoop.
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Hazards may include, but are not limited to, slipping and tripping.
Knowledge, Skills & Certifications:
1. Excellent listening, communication skills.
2. Ability to take instructions, work at a quick pace while following through with accurate delivery of requests.
3. Carry out duties in a friendly, professional manner; working and cooperating with others as team member.
4. Knowledge and complies with workplace safety procedures.
5. Have taken WHMIS course(s).
