Looking to advance your career? Work for Maxim Truck & Trailer as a Dismantler in our Recycling Division. This role is a stepping stone to becoming an apprentice Heavy Duty Truck & Trailer Technician. Receive fully paid company training!
Responsibilities:
- Removing salvage parts and dismantling heavy trucks or other vehicles
- Locating parts in yard for customers
- Tagging and storing all parts in a clean, safe and secure manner.
- Moving vehicles in and out of the shop using forkilifts, petibones and loaders
Qualifications:
- Previous dismantling experience, either work related or personal experience tearing down and parting out equipment preferred
- 2 years of mechanical experience and knowledge of heavy duty truck parts
- Knowledge of tools and safe removal of parts
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds without assistance
- Ability to operate heavy equipment is required (Forklift, Pettibone)
- Ability to use a cutting torch
- Must be willing to work outdoors year round
- Must be able to supply own tools
