The University offers seven undergraduate degree programs and more than 50 programs of study. Mount Allison provides a unique experience for students, one with direct access to leading researchers and instructors in the smaller-sized classroom, studio, and lab settings. Reporting to the Vice-President, International and Student Affairs and as a senior member of an essential Student Affairs team, the Director of Student Experience has the overall responsibility of providing effective vision, leadership, management, administration, and coordination of a robust student life portfolio. The Director is tasked with providing strategic direction and operational leadership that promotes student engagement, retention, inclusion, diversity, and internationalization, as well as positive residence life experience and off- campus liaison.

As the ideal candidate, you are a seasoned and strategic student affairs professional and are an experienced administrative leader. You are well versed in current trends and initiatives within the student affairs realm across the country and beyond and you are always seeking out new, innovative ways to enhance the student experience. You are an exceptional communicator, collaborator and people leader and you have proven your ability to inspire, engage and support your team, your colleagues and students alike. Positivity, authenticity and high integrity are hallmarks of your leadership. You actively strive to build and foster inclusive communities and you authentically engage with equity deserving communities, including black, indigenous, people of colour and 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals and communities.

You are enthusiastic about working with student leadership teams and student government as well as collaborating with colleagues across your institution and with community partners to foster strong relationships and advance the goals of your institution.
