We are looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at ProMix Concrete. We provide Western Canada with reliable, cost-effective, and quality concrete services. You must be a self-starter and team player with excellent communication skills, problem solving abilities, and a keen eye for accuracy.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions

• Diagnose defects using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required

• Adjust equipment and repair / replace defective parts

• Record and maintain documentation and maintenance reports

• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure it meets manufacturers’ specifications

• Attach and adjust parts and components

• Perform repair work on heavy trucks

• Service attachments, equipment, and working tools

• Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid Class 3 Driver’s License (preferred)

Diesel Engine Repair specialization

• Fuel injection system

• Exhaust system

• Cooling system

• Air Conditioning system

• Lubrication system

• Engine control system

• Installation and alignment of engines and machinery

Mechanical Maintenance and Repair specialization

• Mechanical transmissions

• Drive trains and final drivers

• Hydraulic transmissions

• Wheel-mounted vehicle suspension and steering

• Differentials

• Brake system

• Noisy, in shop work environment
