Job Description
** 1000$ Bonus **
Working within our Engineering Department and with a great design team, you will mainly be responsible for designing automatic fire sprinkler systems and preparing drawings in accordance with the requirements of current codes. Among other things, your responsibilities will be to:
Prepare drawings considering architectural, structural and mechanical plans using AutoCAD and HydraCAD systems, etc.;
Reproduce and draw sketches, drawings and plans;
Arrange sprinklers on the drawings in accordance with current standards;
Verify drawings in accordance with the established procedure;
BIM coordination and project modeling;
Participate in project meetings with project managers & other trades for project coordination;
Order material based on the coordinated drawings by using HydraList;
Proceed to field surveys for installation drawings.
Requirements
You are an experienced Designer and want to join a leader in Fire Protection, come join our team! You will work with experienced Fire Protection Professionals and be part of a dynamic environment! The main qualifications we are looking for are:
Diploma in Fire Protection Engineering Technology or Design or High School diploma with equivalent relevant experience;
Minimum 2 years of fire protection system drafting experience;
Proficiency in computer-assisted design with AutoCad;
Knowledge of HydraCad (an asset);
Knowledge of standards and codes governing design and installation of automatic fire protection systems;
Valid driver’s license and vehicle;
Experience will be a definite asset but we are willing to train the successful applicant who shows promise and is a team player.
Candidates meeting the above requirements could be eligible to a bonus of $1000. Details to be provided during the interview process.
