The ParkSide Centre is a small business in Greater Sudbury, ON. Our goal is to provide opportunities for adults 50 and over, to explore their potential and to maintain an active, independent life style. We offer social, recreational, educational and many other programs and services to accomplish these goals .

We are currently accepting applications for the position of Database and Volunteer Coordinator. Reporting to the Manager, this person will assist with the maintenance and upkeep of our membership database, recruiting and training of volunteers and supporting the day-to-day operation of the Centre, including membership and program registrations.

Responsibilities:

• Implementing changes in database operations and ensuring data is readily available to end-users.
• Minimizing downtime of databases and ensuring data provided is accurate.
• Providing training, feedback, and support to users on the usage of data provided.
• Ensuring that the database is adequately backed up so that vital information can be retrieved in case of accidental loss or security breach.
• Maintaining the efficiency of the database by providing regular checks and data updates.
• Assisting in the recruitment and retention of front desk volunteers.
• Identify the organization's need for volunteers based on its operations and services.
• Determine what the organization can offer future volunteers.
• Recruit and train suitable volunteers.
• Analyze the risks associated with volunteer positions.
