Who We Are

Graduate Studies directs the administration of more than 140 graduate programs across all three campuses and eight faculties. Our office supports the vision and leadership of the university through the Dean and Vice-Provost's role as well as through oversight and guidance of graduate admissions, adherence and equitable compliance to graduate policies, and administrative direction and training for procedures and systems. We also collaboratively facilitate support for graduate students, faculty members and graduate programs with individual and systemic issues and foster graduate student engagement and professional development activities.

About the Role

The Manager, Graduate Curriculum and Policy, is responsible for overseeing and managing the graduate curriculum submission and approval process to the Senate Graduate Studies Committee (SGSC), the Senate Committee on University Priorities (SCUP), and Senate, including providing support, advice, and feedback to faculties, departments, and programs regarding University requirements, documentation, deadlines, approval process, and policies related to graduate curriculum and the implementation of graduate programs. The Manager provides administrative and procedural support to the supervisor, SGSC, and constituents in Graduate program areas by: providing advice regarding the application of Graduate Studies academic policies and procedures; ensuring forms and proposals submitted to SGSC are complete and compliant with policies and procedures; gathering and organizing research information and preparing documentation for SGSC; and monitoring the consistency of Graduate program information across multiple communication channels. The role is responsible for administration, adherence and upkeep of the graduate Academic Progress Reports and assists the supervisor with the day-to-day management and efficient daily operation of the Graduate Admissions, Records, and Registration section of the Office of Graduate Studies, collaborating with the Associate Dean, Graduate Studies to oversee the administration of individualized Graduate programs.
