Our Calgary, Alberta branch is seeking a few good people to join our team, performing maintenance and installations on systems throughout Southern Alberta, Eastern British Columbia and Northwest Territories. This is your chance to learn a new skill set, perform interesting and challenging work, and be part of a team all while being exposed to a variety of industries including mining, wood, food, distribution, recycling, aggregate, manufacturing, and more.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform in-field installation, repair, trouble shooting, diagnosis and preventative maintenance services on conveyor and material handling systems
  • Shop and field work including installations, maintenance and rebuilds of components, rubber lining, pulley rebuilds, light fabrication/welding
  • Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up
  • Comprehension of conveyor dynamics and material handling fundamentals
  • Perform routine maintenance work on machinery
  • Understand and read Engineered Blueprints and drawings
  • Assemble machinery prior to installation
  • Start-up and testing
  • Perform duties and operate equipment in a safe and satisfactory manner
  • Ensure customer service, quality and workmanship are top priority

Qualifications and Skills

  • Industry experience considered an asset
  • General mechanical aptitude
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Strong problem-solving skills, organization, and planning skills
  • Ability to work under various weather and work conditions (cold, heat, noise, etc.)
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivated, a go-getter; interested in career development
  • Must be physically fit and capable of lifting 75lbs
  • Basic experience with rigging equipment
  • Must be able to work with minimal direction
  • Willingness to travel and ability to work in remote locations
  • Willingness and ability to work overtime and/or irregular hours
  • Great people-skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Skills such as rigging, cutting, welding, etc. an asset
