The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury is looking for a highly motivated and independent individual to assist Community Services in the area of compliance from May to December 2023.

Reporting to the Manager of Compliance, the individual will be part of the team responsible for the creation, implementation, and auditing of programs, plans, policies, procedures, and systems necessary to comply with all federal, provincial, and municipal legislated requirements for water, wastewater and storm water operations. The role will provide assistance with records management, drinking water quality management system, field inspections, and a sewer use program.

The successful candidate will possess excellent customer service, interpersonal, project/time management, analytical, and problem solving skills.Preference will be given to those applicants enrolled in an environmental technology program or related equivalent. Candidates must have the ability to travel to off-site locations in a timely and efficient manner, as required. In addition, Candidates must be able to promote a culture of inclusiveness and work with a diverse population of employees, participants, agencies, and the public.

In order to be eligible for this employment opportunity with the Town, you:

· must be a registered full-time post-secondary student;

· must be legally entitled to work in Canada;

· must submit a successful Criminal Record Check as a pre-condition of employment;

· own or purchase safety footwear as a pre-condition of employment

· provide proof confirming receipt of the full series of a Covid-19 vaccines as a condition of hire in accordance with the Town’s mandatory vaccination policy

The hourly rate for this position is $19.03 (2022 rates) per hour.
