CAPSTAN Hauling is recruiting project-based, full-time CLASS (1) ONE DRIVERS to expand our team of Transportation and Logistics Professionals. Selected drivers will haul coal products at the beautiful, Conuma Coal mining property near Tumbler Ridge and Chetwynd BC. Tractor-trailer equipment will include tridem tractors with B-Train Side Dump and/or Tridem Live Bottom trailer configurations. This project commences immediately, until December 21, 2022 (Holiday Shutdown) then resumes full operations within the second week of January 2023.

Responsibilities:

• Safety pre/post operating inspections, driver log / BOL recording and operating B-Train Side Dump and Live-Bottom tractor-trailer units to efficiently transport and safely deliver coal products between mine sites and plant load outs for our 24/7 operations.
• Driver schedules will commence as a single shift with the potential to move to 24 hour rotating shift schedules once driver-power levels are achieved.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Valid Class 1 driver’s license and acceptable driver’s abstract.
• Minimum of 3 years oilfield, bulk haul, and/or off-highway hauling experience.
• Previous experience with side dump and/or live-bottom trailers is recommended however training is made available for selected candidates with suitable tractor-trailer hauling experience.
• Experience driving in mountain terrain and associated weather conditions is a benefit.

Employment Type: Project-Based – Hourly.

Base Wage Rate: $43.00 / Hour Plus Overtime.

Additional Incentives: $0.50 / Tonne – Production / Safety Incentive.
