Cidery Production Manager Job at Summerland Heritage Cider
We are looking for a Cidery Production Manager/Assistant Cidermaker to join our team!
This spring, Summerland Cider is seeking a keen individual to lead and assist in various cidermaking tasks within and around the Cider Barn. As the Cidery Production Manager, you will be responsible for the filtering, blending and packaging of cider, accurate record keeping and cleaning the production area. In addition to production tasks, you will assist in the taproom and on the patio when required.
Summerland Cider is a family-owned business of third generation apple growers. We pride ourselves in being involved in every step of cidermaking, literally from branch to bottle. We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team and work in our unique open concept, one-of-a-kind experience for staff and guests alike!
Position Responsibilities Include:
· Production: CIP, filtering, blending, bottling, pasteurizing, labelling, packaging, inventory and other production-related activities
· Taproom: Serving, sales, minor food preparation, tastings and stocking
· Pressing (Oct-Nov): Loading bins, operating belt press, monitoring equipment and other press-related activities
· Orchard: Mowing, watering, weeding, harvesting and other orchard-related activities
Qualifications:
· 1-2 years experience in cidery, winery or brewery production role an asset
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Able to multi-task and pay close attention to detail
· Self-motivated and a team player
· A valid Class 5 driver’s license
· Able to safely lift 40lbs and stand for extended periods of time
· Serving It Right

Salary: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
