DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cut & package product by hand
• Use of variety of tools - including mechanical/electronic machinery
• Pack, wrap and move pallets with manual jack
• Clean-up/sanitization of workspace & equipment
• Employ Food Safe practices
• Strictly adhere to all WorkSafe BC regulations and safe work practices
• Follow all company policies (Personnel, Covid, Safety, Confidentiality)
• Follow all applicable federal & provincial laws/legislation
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager

REQUIREMENTS

Education

• Although not required, high school graduation is an asset
• WHMIS (or willing to obtain)
• Violence & Harassment Awareness/Prevention Certificate (or willing to obtain)
• Occupational First Aid Level 1 – asset

Experience

• Experience working in a food production facility – strong asset
• Strong communication, relationship-building & interpersonal skills
• Health & safety experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting – asset
• HACCP principles/practice – asset
