Roach Perry Anderson Chartered Professional Accountants is a locally owned Chartered Professional Accounting firm in Sydney, NS offering assurance, accounting, tax and business advisory services. We are seeking a CPA student to join our team.
Position Title
CPA Student (anticipated start date between January - May 2023)
Job Description
- Completion of compilation engagements
- Bookkeeping preparation and posting of client transactions
- Audit field work at various client sites as part of audit engagement team
- Preparing adjusting journal entries
- Performing reconciliations of bank accounts, accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Performing reconciliations of payroll
- Preparing personal and corporate tax returns and HST returns
- Completing additional ad-hoc office and accounting duties or assignments as required
Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge:
- University degree with a concentration in Accounting
- Enrolled or eligible to enroll in CPA Atlantic School of Business
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills
- Experience with various accounting software applications considered an asset
- Previous office-environment employment experience considered an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
